SEO Optimizing Your Blog Post!

Once you find the perfect keyword or keyword phrase it is FINELY time to start blogging!

First you want to put your keyword phrase in the title of the post.

The title of this blog post is How To Write A Blog Simplified.

My main keyword is how to write a blog.

Once you have a good title you also need to put the keywords in the URL of your blog post.

If you do not know how to do this, all you have to do is go to your blog dashboard. (WordPress)

When you go to your blog dashboard, on the left or the screen there is going to be a tab that says Settings. Click that and then click permalinks. once you click on that, you want to click the little circle where it says post name and save the setting. Then when you enter the title of your blog post it automatically becomes your post name.

Now we get into the heading. You can choose H1, H2 heading for the start of your blog with the keywords in it.

When you are ready to start blogging, right above where you are going to type there is a tab that says add media..

Under that you can choose to make your text bold. The last little button to the right of the bold button. My button when you hover over it says Show/hide kitchen sink. Click that and another bar will pop down.

When you see the drop down menu click where it says paragraph. Then chose Heading 1 or Heading 2. This is the large font in the beginning of your blog post. I usually stick to H2 as the main heading and H3 headings for title of paragraphs through out my post.

When you are done with the heading hit enter and if it does not automatically switch back to paragraph make sure you switch it back.

You are now going to write a paragraph or so then create a H3 Heading on the top of your new paragraph.

When you are writing your blog post add your keyword in your paragraph but not to many times. You can also bold,  italic and underline your keyword to make it stand out to the search engines.

Remember DO not to over do it. Make it look natural and write the way you would talk.

The most important part of blogging is DO NOT COPY AND PAST OTHERS PEOPLE WORK! You can get in deep shit if it is copyrighted and the search engines will just penalize you and you will NEVER EVER get on the search results.

Just be original and be yourself. Write your post so it is easy to understand and make sure you give them what or your bounce rate will increase and the search engines will lower your rankings.

If you are having trouble coming up with ideas.. Start doing keyword research and you will find something that catches your eye and it will give you ideas and topics to blog about.

If you are not familiar with the topic you are going to blog about,  just search others blogs to get ideas.  Simply read other people’s blogs and then your write in your own words what you want to share about that keyword.

Rinse and repeat over and over! The more you blog the more you write the better you will get.

Also when you are blogging try to concentrate on a few subjects at a time!

Then when you get a few posts, you can also interlink them to similar blog posts to give them even more information on that topic.

Now get out there and start blogging!
